Kick off 2022 with a fitness goal that starts the year on the right foot… and with some great winter running gear!
The Barn to Run Winter Challenge is virtual event invites you to start 2022 with a 5k or 10k run, walk or hike on January 1st or, for a challenge that motivates you through the month, the option to run, walk or hike 26.2, 50 or 100 miles between January 1st and January 31st.
The price of entry is the same regardless of the event you choose… and so is the awesome swag!
Because this is a virtual event HOW you do it (run, walk, hike), WHERE you do it (road, trail, treadmill) and WHEN you do it (morning, afternoon or night) is up to you!
Two members, Matt A and MaryJane E, both recently completed 50K (31 miles) at local trail races. Yup, more than a marathon and over terrain that can be rugged, rocky and unpredictable. Interested?
My First Half Marathon
Having only just gotten into running this year, Jenny M decided to take a crack at her first half, and picked a cracker. he 'Around Cape Ann' half is a pretty course. But undulates wildly. She toe'd the start line and went out and crushed her race.
Couch to 5K
We've supported folks in their goal of getting to their first (ever or in a long while) 5K in the past. Watch this space for future attempts
"Run often. Run long. But never outrun your joy of running."
There was a great turnout and some great weather for the MFI Angel Run this year. Always a great family day. A fun and festive day to celebrate fitness and raise money for a great cause.
WE WENT PLOGGING
The first couple were such an eye opening success (so much Sutter Home!), we did it again!
We all run these streets everyday and we hate to see litter and garbage on our routes. Let's pick up some trash, get in some bonus miles and pretty up the town.
Details on the next lucky street coming soon!
Annual Santa Hat Run
A good time was had by all on an appropriately snowy Christmas Eve for the Soles annual Santa Hat run through the streets on downtown Medfield.
